Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for May 31 - June 6, 2023

This week, Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets perk offering is rather disappointing compared to previous weeks. We have Mettle of Man, Iron Will, Predator, and Territorial Imperative. Here’s a quick detailed rundown of each perk from May 31 - June 6, 2023.

Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for May 31 - June 6, 2023

This section in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight allows players to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

Choose carefully if you don’t have many shards available during this time as 2,000 shards are hard to earn, especially for new players from either side.

Killer Perks

Territorial Imperative (The Huntress) - The Aura of a Survivor entering the Basement when you are at least 32 meters away is revealed to you for 3 seconds.

This perk has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds.

Predator (The Wraith) - The Scratch Marks left by Survivors spawn slightly/moderately/considerably closer together.

Survivor Perks

Mettle of Man (Ash Williams) - After triggering a third Protection Hit, this perk activates. While you are injured, Mettle of Man shields you from going down the next time you take damage.

Healing back to the healthy state will reveal your Aura to the Killer whenever you are farther than 12/14/16 meters.

This perk deactivates the next time you are in the Dying state and the odds of being the Obsession of the Killer are increased by 100%.

When you start running, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running movement speed for 4 seconds.

Iron Will (Jake Park) - Reduces noises your Survivor will make while in the Injured state by 25/50/75%,

Which perks are worth getting this week?

This is easily one of the most unappealing Shrine of Secrets perk offering for 2023. Right off the bat I highly suggest you save your shards for future weeks as neither side has anything significant to pick up.

The Survivor’s Mettle of Man is the best offer, and that’s saying a lot as this perk requires so much work from the player to actually get some value from it. Protection hits require you to get hit, and the fact that you need three in order to get a free hit is a bit too much for the average player, but likely fun for YouTubers trying to make content around it.

Iron Will is a close second considering that new players can appreciate what it brings to the table. But as soon as you get stronger perks, Iron Will will slowly slide off new player’s go-to perk in their loadout.

As for Killers, they got it worse. Predator is also a tool that could help new players that are still not used to how scratch marks work in the game, but as soon as they get used to them, they too will realize that it’s a waste of a perk slot.

Territorial Imperative is also considered a wasted perk slot due to it only revolving on one portion of the map, the shack. It’s deeply situational, and if it does trigger, you get only 3 seconds of information out of it. Plus, you need to be somewhat close to the shack.

Dead by Daylight will soon be updated with the new sci-fi-themed End of Transmission Chapter entering the Dead by Daylight public test build, allowing players to play with the new Killer Singularity and the Survivor named Gabriel Soma.
