Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for February 22 - February 28, 2023

[UPDATED - 2/23/2023]

Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets this week is a little weird. For only a day, the Shrine offered For the People, Repressed Alliance, Forced Penance, Hex: Huntress Lullaby. But it looks like this week was supposed to be community picked as you can now purchase Flashbang, Lethal Pursuer, Merciless Storm, and Reassurance, perks under licensed characters. Here’s a quick detailed rundown of each of the perks offered from February 22 - February 28, 2023.

Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for February 22 - February 28, 2023

This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

To unlock a perk through the Shine of Secrets, you’ll need to spend Iridescent Shards per perk. Tier 1 perks can cost 2,000 shards.

Here’s the description of each perk.

Killer Perks

Lethal Pursuer (The Nemesis) - At the start of the trial, the Auras of all Survivors are shown to you for 7/8/9 seconds.

The duration of any aura reading ability for the Killer will be extended by 2 seconds.

Merciless Storm (The Onryō) - Whenever a Generator is repaired to 90%, Survivors repairing are faced with a continuous SKill Check.

If they miss a skill check or stop repairing, that generator becomes blocked for 16/18/20 seconds.

Survivor Perks

Flashbang (Leon Kennedy) - After repairing a Generator for a total of 70/60/50%, the Flashbang perk activates. You may then enter a locker without any item on you and press the ability button to craft one Flash Grenade.

The Flashbang is left behind when escaping the Trial.

Reassurance (Rebecca Chambers) - When within 6 meters of a hooked Survivor, you can press the active ability button to halt their sacrifice process for the next 20/25/30 seconds.

Survivors on their second hook will also have their skill checks halted when affected by this perk. The perk can only be used once per Survivor, per hook instance.

The Aura of the blocked Generator is revealed to all Survivors in white.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

Repressed Alliance, For the People, Forced Penance, and Hex: Huntress Lullaby is no longer on offer. Somehow they made a mistake and did a quick change, filling the shrine with perks voted by the community, and I’m all for it as these are all strong perks to consider, and are from licensed characters, too!

Again, all are good, but Lethal Pursuer needs a first mention for the Killers as it’s such a strong perk that affects your game as long as you have aura reading perks paired with it. You get into a chase almost immediately and have an understanding of where to focus your time right off the bat.

The other Killer perk on offer is Merciless Storm, a perk that might find useful as it could catch some Survivors off guard. Not the best alone but will do nicely if paired with other perks that can slow down generators.

For Survivors, we have more Resident Evil-fueled perks. Flashbang is a fun perk to have as it gives you multiple chances to blind the Killer and make plays while Reassurance is the perfect anti-camper perk, punishing Killers that stay too close to a hooked survivor as the extra 30 seconds will definitely cost them, especially if done multiple times.
