Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for December 21 - December 27 2022

It may be the Holidays, but it’s sadly not the best Shrine of Secrets reset. This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players the chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier. This week offers the perks A Nurse’s Calling, Unnerving Presence, Calm Spirit, and Open Handed. Here’s a quick rundown of each of the perks offered from December 21 - December 27 2022

Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for December 21 to December 27, 2022

To unlock a perk through the Shine of Secrets, you’ll need to spend Iridescent Shards per perk. Tier 1 perks can cost 2,000 shards.

This week is tough as this could be the one of the worse list of perks on offer.

Here’s the description of each perk.

Killer Perks

A Nurse’s Calling (The Nurse) - The auras of Survivors that are healing or is being healed will be shown to the Killer if they are within a range of 20/24/28 meters.

Unnerving Presence (The Trapper) - Survivors repairing or healing within a killer’s Terror Radius will suffer a 10% increase in Skill Checks with the success zones decreased by 40/50/60%.

Perks

Calm Spirit (Jake Park) - This perk prevents Crows in a match from being disturbed by your presence and flying off. It also prevents you from screaming if prompted by a perk.

Noises when Unlocking a Chests or cleansing/blessing Totems will be suppressed and interaction speed is increased by 40/35/30%.

Open-Handed (Ace Visconti) - Extends the radius of all Survivor-based aura-reading abilities by 8/12/16 meters.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

Why is it one of the worse list of perks? For starters, we have three perks coming from base characters that instantly become available by simply owning the game. Not a big fan of using shards to improve or unlock base perks.

Second, they aren’t the best perks to begin with. Killers get the worst of it as the two perks on offer, A Nurse’s Calling and Unnerving Presence, is something i’m sure everyone has at this point.

Don’t get me wrong, A Nurse’s Calling is a great perk, but if it’s the best offer this week, that’s saying something.

For Survivors, Calm Spirit may sound interesting but you’ll soon notice that this won’t bring much value in a match as Crows isn’t much of a big deal, even if a Killer uses Spies of Shadows. Open-Handed might have some uses for Survivor teams but as a solo, it could come out as a dead perk

Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets reset every Wednesday at 12 AM UTC / 8 AM GMT +8.

This year’s Holiday event Bone Chill is now live as we have snowmen all over the place for Survivors and Killers to hide or give each other a high five. The event also delivers a new Event Tome which features new cosmetics for Survivors David King, Haddie Kaur, and Vittorio Toscano. There are also Killer cosmetics for The Huntress, The Dredge, The Knight, and The Deathslinger.
