Bastion and Torbjorn Disabled in Overwatch 2 Due to Game Breaking Bugs

It looks like Blizzard can’t catch a break, as besides of the various issues still plaguing the now free-to-play Overwatch 2, they now had to temporarily disable heroes Bastion and Torbjorn due to game breaking bugs affecting their ability kits.

Why is Bastion disabled on October 11?

The bug associated with Bastion is apparently affecting the robot’s Artillery ultimate ability, which allows the player to fire a crazy amount of artillery rounds  in an area to a point it feels like a Call of Duty killstreak. You can see the bug in action below.

This results in Bastion to be unavailable on all game modes.

What about Torbjorn?

For the hero Torbjorn, the bug in his ability is less extreme than Bastion. Apparently his ability Overload can be extended by just holding the button a second longer. This results in him earning a second overload and an additional stack of armor on top of the first stack. This makes the hero rather tough and intimidating for a damage type hero.

Torbjorn can still be picked even with the bug, but only in Quick Play.

Blizzard has not given a timeframe as to when these two heroes will be reactivated but we’ll update this post once they are back in rotation.

Overwatch 2 isn’t having the best launch as players are still experiencing issues from not being able to access all their heroes (even though they own Overwatch 1), account merge issues,  to phone numbers issues. Long queues have improved but connection issues for some still exist.

For a full list of what is known to be a current bug/issue to what has been fixed by Blizzard, head to this forum post for all the details, which also shows that Overwatch 1 players should have an easier time setting up their account for Overwatch 2 with their prepaid phone number.
