Apex Legends Player Pretended To Be An NPC To Win A Match

Apex Legends is a very competitive battle royale games and is highly successful at this point, so getting that big win can be a tough challenge for some, and will do anything to be the last squad standing. For one lone Pathfinder player, he chose deception to be the champion.

It’s pure genius really. If you’ve been keeping up with Apex Legends recently, you’ll know that the maps now have MRVN (Mobile Robotic Versatile eNtity) units, NPC robots that are the same model as the champion Pathfinder. Interacting with them will give you loot, making it another way to get gear once you hit the ground.

For the Reddit user warartic, he decided to play the part as a harmless MRVN unit, just staying still inside a structure that would normally host one of these units. This commitment of just pretending to be an NPC made him hide within an ongoing firefight between the last 3 remaining squads, and only started moving to kill the last player standing, who was busy reviving his down teammate at the time.

What’s funny is that at the start of the clip, one player shot Warartic and he still didn’t move and then just continued to ignore him. Deception complete. Even with multiple Bloodhound skills popping off in front of him, none of the players took notice of him until it was too late.

What a play. It will likely not happen most of the time, but Pathfinder mains should at least give this a go at least once just for fun. You never know, you might come out a winner with such a move.
