EA Online Passes Now Free

ea-sports-online-pass EA has stated that they would eliminate all online passes from their future games. That's all well and good but what about all the current games of not-so-yester-console-generation? Well, they have an answer to that.

The prompt for an online pass code will no longer appear in-game which we will first see with some EA sports titles. For other titles, EA will make the online passes available free of charge.

Here are the games whose online passes are currently free:

  •     Battlefield 3
  •     Battlefield Bad Company 2
  •     Bulletstorm
  •     Dead Space 2
  •     Dead Space 3
  •     Dragon Age II
  •     Dragon Age Origins
  •     Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
  •     Mass Effect 2
  •     Mass Effect 3
  •     Medal of Honor
  •     Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
  •     Need for Speed: The Run
  •     Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed
  •     Skate 3
  •     The Sims 3

EA has been known for quite the scumbaggary when it comes to their content. The removal of online passes is a good start. Though something is a bit off. Why is EA being nice all of a sudden?
