New Virtua Fighter - Virta Fighter project adds Wolf Hawkfield
Fan-favorite pro wrestler Wolf Hawkfield returns in The New VIRTUA FIGHTER Project, a new entry for the fighting game series which is currently in development over at Ryu Ga Gotoku, the studio best known for the Yakuza and Like a Dragon games. Sega also shared a new developer diary on the new project that talks about the game’s art direction.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. was released on the PC via Steam early this year and we gave it a 3.5/5, praising this version of the game as it modernizes the series’ best entry while pointing out that despite featuring online matchmaking and rollback netcode, it’s a hit or miss when fighting against others online. Hopefully things improved as cross-play is implemented with this version coming to modern consoles.
