During Sony’s September 2023 State of Play, Square Enix announced that their upcoming online competitive shooter Foam Stars will have a worldwide free open beta on PlayStation 5 from September 30 until October 2, 2023.

"Overwatch 2 remain as a top notch online team shooter as I was reminded how amazing the Overwatch formula is after how many years. I’m just left worried about the state of the game in its first months as a free-to-play game, if Blizzard can keep the cheaters and griefers in check."
