Obsidian Entertainment announced The Outer Worlds Spacer Edition, an upgrade to the 2019 RPG and all DLCs released so far and those that own the original game will have to pay to upgrade to this version at a lower price. It comes with enhanced visuals, a dynamic weather system, a level cap increase, and more.

Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds is now available on Steam and in GOG after being a timed exclusive title in the Epic Games store for a year. To celebrate, the RPG is 50% off for a limited time.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak in China, Virtuos, the studio handling the port version of The Outer Worlds, has their China offices closed to implement a temporary quarantine to protect their employees.

Chris Avellone, the designer who co-wrote Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, had less than great things to say about the leadership at Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind the upcoming The Outer Worlds. Avellone was a co-founder and co-owner at the studio until he left in 2015.
