Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr are partnering up to deliver a three-game remaster bundle of the first three Tomb Raider titles, which is set to release on February 14, 2024, for consoles and PC. Titled Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft, this collection delivers the original three titles with upgraded graphics performance enhancements, and more.

The live service game Marvel’s Avengers will no longer be given new content as Crystal Dynamics have announced they will no longer support the game with new content. After September 30, 2023, support for the game will officially end and digital purchases through the game’s marketplace will no longer be available.

Crystal Dynamics have revealed that the upcoming 2.7 update for November will launch on November 29, 2022 and will be adding the new playable character the Winter Soldier as well as a new Omega-Level Threat called the Cloning Lab.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have announced that the next-gen release of Marvel’s Avengers plus the Hawkeye DLC, titled ‘Operation: Future Imperfect’, are coming on March 18, 2021.

Marvel’s Avengers may have been the top-selling game of September, but it only took a matter of days for disappointment to settle in and mere weeks for the game’s player base to shrink. Kate Bishop and Hawkeye, the first two new characters slated for late October, are being delayed, as is the Taking AIM chapter that was to introduce them.

It remains to be seen how long players will have to wait for a similar transformation for Marvel’s Avengers, and how many lapsed players will return when it does, but Marvel’s Avengers has potential. The fact that people can still feel compelled to play due to the satisfying combat and in spite of an overwhelming amount of negatives.

With its myriad design issues and lack of content at launch, it’s difficult to recommend Marvel’s Avengers. But this is a game that can only get better, which isn’t publisher apologia, it’s just an undeniable truth for any game that leans so heavily into a future of post-launch updates.
