Resident Evil Village DLC Is Coming, Resident Evil Re:Verse Out In July

During E3 2021, Capcom revealed that development for Resident Evil Village DLC has begun and that the Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer only game that comes in every copy of Village, will be out in July.

As Capcom puts it, “by popular demand”, Resident Evil Village DLC is now in the works. It was announced during their Capcom games showcase and not much details were given as they simply announced that more content is coming. No other details were given after the announcement but there’s a lot of potential to expand on the game more, like giving more lore about everybody’s favorite tall vampire lady Lady Dimitrescu. We could also see content focused on Ada Wong as it was originally planned to be in Village but was left in the cutting board as there were concept art of the iconic character in Village that you can unlock and view in the gallery section in-game.

Another announcement was regarding Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer game mode that comes free for all owners of Resident Evil Village. Exactly when in July? Capcom didn’t mention a date. Originally, Re:Verse was intended to come out together with Resident Evil Village but it simply needed more time in the oven as it wasn’t ready to launch in May.

Re:Verse is being made at Capcom as a thank you as the company continues to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. It’s a competitive multiplayer game where you can play as either iconic characters from the series or any of the famous monsters in the game like Nemesis or Mr. X.
