Ragnarok Origin Launches in Southeast Asia This Week, April 6

Gravity Game Hub announced that their upcoming MMO Ragnarok Origin will officially launch in the Philippines on April 6, 2023, on iOS, Android devices, and PC.
Ragnarok Origin is the latest MMO in the Ragnarok series where players can band together and defeat bosses, earn various rewards, and grind to enhance their character further through cards and gear.
In a press conference that occurred this week in the Philippines, Gravity Game Hub “emphasized their dedication to preserving the authentic environments and original artwork of RO, while also preserving the unique classes and cherished features of the PC game, such as AFK leveling and challenging MVPs.”
“In addition, to emulate and enhance social interactions in the modern online world, ROO underwent a comprehensive revamp of its bonding system, aiming to help players discover like-minded partners, create a strong sense of community within the game, and promote personal growth.”
The MMO features a pet and mount system where players can earn “hundreds of adorable pets and mounts” during a player’s run through the game.
Esports for Ragnarok Origin
For Ragnarok Origin, Gravity Game Hub plans to create a cross-server guild league, their way of entering Ragnarok Origin into the esports space. Ragnarok Origin will host four major esports events – the Odin Cup, Thor Cup, Loki, Cup, and Valyrie Cup. These competitions will take place in various cities, though they did not provide the date or timeline as to when these events will occur.
Ragnarok Origin has garnered a lot of attention in Southeast Asia as the pre-registration count for this free-to-play MMO is close to 10 million as of April 5, 2023.
