PlayStation State of Play August 2020 Rundown

With the PS5 slated for release in the holiday of 2020, it's no surprise that a lot of game news has shifted focus to the latest titles for the shiny new console. That's not to say that the current generation is being left in the dust. PlayStation held their State of Play Livestream earlier today focusing on upcoming games to the PS4 and PS VR as well as a few quick check-ins on third-party and indie titles shown back in June's PS5 showcase.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time
The stream starts off with a pretty in-depth rundown of the new Crash Bandicoot game. We're shown a lot more specifics about the new powers, abilities, playable characters, and new game modes. Color me excited.
Hitman 3 - VR Announcement
It's nice to see that the PS VR hasn't been forgotten. It looks like the entirety of Hitman 3 will be playable with the PS VR attachment.
Braid, Anniversary Edition
In a surprise to most people, Braid is getting a remaster on current systems with a ton of visual and system updates as well as developer commentary.
The Pathless
From the developers of Abzu, the swift and skilled hunter from The Pathless will be making their way to PS5.
Spelunky 2
The stellar Spelunky is finally getting a sequel with Spelunky 2 which will include online multiplayer.
Genshin Impact
An open-world action RPG that I can describe as "anime Breath of the Wild".
Aeon Must Die
A very stylistic RPG set in a futuristic city with tactical beat-em-up combat.
ANNO: Mutationem
A game with a mouthful of a title. ANNO: Mutationem is an action-adventure RPG set in a cyberpunk world.
Bugsnax Gameplay
Following its announcement earlier this year, we're finally treated to some gameplay. You play a journalist who takes on tasks set by the townspeople of Snaxburg and interact with the many bugsnax scattered around.
Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series
It baffles me how it took this long for a lightsaber Star Wars game to be made for PS VR.
Control Expansion 2 AWE
I guess the story for Control isn't over as Jesse Faden must explore the Investigations Sector of the bureau.

The popular Pokemon inspired creature collecting MMO is also making its way to PS5.

Curve Games and developer Microbird announced that their upcoming indie game Dungeons of Hinterberg is set to launch on July 18, 2024, on Xbox Series X|S, PC (windows and Steam), and Xbox Game Pass.
