Heroes of Newerth Reborn Open Beta Starts November 11

Developer Kongor Studios announced that the revival of the classic MOBA Heroes of Newerth will return in open beta on November 11, 2025.
Now titled Heroes of Newerth Reborn, the project aims to modernize the original game for today’s audience while preserving its legacy.
“The journey over the last 15 years of Heroes of Newerth has been an incredible ride”, said Nick "BreakyCPK" Caras, Director of Communications at Kongor. “I still remember trying it for the first time back in 2009 and immediately being hooked, just like so many others. When I was approached a little over a year ago about joining this project, I couldn’t pass up the chance to help renew a game that’s had such a lasting impact on my life. Knowing how much work lay ahead, a team of passionate and talented people, each with their own deep connection to HoN, has poured their time and effort into bringing us to this moment: Open Beta. It’s been 15 years since the original game’s release, just a year after League of Legends launched and went on to dominate the genre. Heroes of Newerth, despite its strong mechanics and dedicated community, never managed to capture the same global success.
Only time will tell if there’s space for another MOBA.
