Battlefield 6 Season 1 Kicks Off October 28 with Rogue Ops and Blackwell Fields Map
/Battlefield 6’s first season officially kicks off on October 28, and we finally have a clear look at what to expect. EA and DICE revealed new maps, a tactical game mode, and the game’s first-ever battle pass system.
Battlefield 6 Season 1 Rogue Ops Details
Season 1 will roll out in multiple phases, starting with the first one called Rogue Ops, launching next week.
Rogue Ops will feature:
Blackwell Fields Map – An open desert battlefield supporting both infantry and vehicular combat.
Strikepoint Game Mode – A smaller, tactical 4v4 mode where teams fight to control a single objective each round. No respawns here, so every move counts.
New Weapons – Players can level up three new additions: the SOR-300C carbine, Mini Fix sniper rifle, and G22 pistol. Time will tell if any of them become loadout favorites.
First Battle Pass – The new seasonal pass introduces a unique twist: players can choose between four reward paths on both the free and premium tracks, letting them prioritize which items to unlock first. Completing all four unlocks a fifth and final track.
New Cosmetics – Expect fresh customization options, including parachute designs, weapon skins, and class outfits that stay grounded in Battlefield’s tone and setting.
What’s Next for Battlefield 6 Season 1
When it was previewed, the Season 1 roadmap outlined what’s coming after Rogue Ops. The next major update, California Resistance, arrives on November 18 and will include:
Eastwood Map – A war-torn suburban California golf course. It’s smaller than Blackwell Fields but still supports vehicles depending on the mode.
New 8v8 Mode: Sabotage
Additional Weapons and Attachments
Finally, the season wraps up with Winter Offensive on December 8, featuring a limited-time event, a new melee pickaxe, and other yet-to-be-revealed content. Details for this phase remain under wraps for now
Battlefield 6 is off to a strong start following its successful launch, with positive reviews and an active player base diving deep into its large-scale combat. I’ve shared my early thoughts after 20 hours with the game and will post a full breakdown soon.
