Wave 2 of Game Pass Titles for May 2025 Revealed
/Xbox has revealed the second wave of games coming to Game Pass in May 2025. Ten titles are part of this batch, but the biggest surprise is the addition of Metaphor: ReFantazio—my personal Game of the Year for 2024.
These games will roll out on the service from now until June 3.
Some of the entries were previously limited to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. For example, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 launched as a day-one title but is now also available to those on the Standard tier. Confusing, I know.
Note: Titles in bold are day-one releases—new games launching directly into Game Pass.

Games Leaving Game Pass on May 31
As usual, a handful of titles will be leaving the Game Pass library by the end of the month:
Cassette Beasts (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Firework (PC)
Humanity (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Remnant 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Also worth noting that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was on the list (and in the image above), but was removed from the announcement as it seems to be a mistake on their part.
A stunning surprise hit—Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 blends rich storytelling, surreal visuals, and deep turn-based combat into a modern RPG classic. This game doesn’t just deliver a fantastic RPG experience—it leaves a lasting emotional imprint that’s hard to forget.
