Capcom Showcase Digital Event Happening on June 12
Capcom just announced that they will be hosting a digital event called the Capcom Showcase on June 12, 2023, at 3 PM PDT through Twitch and TikTok.
The show is expected to have a runtime of approximately 36 minutes and you can expect news on upcoming releases, updates, and possibly future titles that have yet to be announced.
They of course didn’t go into detail but it’s likely we’ll see find out more details on the upcoming RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2. We’ll likely see more on Exoprimal, a third-person co-op shooter where you fight hordes of dinosaurs with exosuits. Aside from this, this event is quite a mystery as most of their heavy hitters like Resident Evil 4 and Street Fighter 6 have already been released this year, so it’s interesting to see what the company has in store for the future.
This event is also Capcom’s way of celebrating the company’s 40th anniversary.
Code Vein 2 delivers serviceable soulslike combat and flexible builds, but its bloated systems, uninspired open world, and inconsistent performance keep it from standing out in an already crowded genre. It definitely has ambition, but many of its ideas feel more like background noise than meaningful twists, leaving the sequel competent but ultimately forgettable.
