Call of Duty Black Ops and Black Ops 2 Launches on PS4 and PS5 with a Special Discount
Activision has announced that the classic Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with a special launch price for PS Plus subscribers. These are ports of the original games with no major updates or improvements, and the DLC isn't included in the base purchase, you'll need to buy the season pass separately.
Black Ops and Black Ops 2 Prices
Both ports are priced at $39.99, but PS Plus subscribers can grab them at $19.99 during the limited-time discount running until August 6. The season pass for each game is priced at $29.99, also currently discounted to $9.89.
No Crossplay Between PS4 and PS5
Again, these are ports with no major changes, just the original games. Meaning, PS4 and PS5 players don’t even get to play with each other on either Multiplayer or Zombies.
Call of Duty: Black Ops first launched in November 2010, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, my personal favorite of the series, launched November 13, 2012. Great games in their own right, but not worth the asking price considering there's nothing new about them.
