Preload Information & Disk Space Size

As of this writing, there’s no preload available on any platform or any form of early access. We’ll update this page once there’s an announcement for preload on either Steam or on consoles.

UPDATE (10/28): Pre-load for the full version of Arc Raiders is now available on Steam and in on consoles. Epic Games Store. Those w

ho got the game on the Eoic Games Store will have to wait until Oct 30, 10:30 AM CET to start the preload.

Embark Studios announced it via social media.

To prepare for its launch, you can make sure you have space for the full game. Pre-load on Steam requires around 32GB of space. When downloaded on Steam, I had 26.8 GB downloaded.

During the game’s Server Slam, Arc Raiders was around 30GB in size. With that version of the game only featuring a small portion of the game, it’s best to reserve at least double what was seen in the latest test, so over 60GB will be a safe bet as it’s not clear you’ll need to download more after pre-loading the game.

Platforms and Crossplay

Arc Raiders will launch with full crossplay support, allowing PC and console players to play together. Cross-progression is also available but needs to be done through the game’s Embark ID account system.

Sadly, console players will not have the option to have console-only matchmaking to pool in just PS5 and Xbox players. So, when you have crossplay enabled, the game will pool in PC players as well. When turned off, you’ll be matched with those in your chosen platform, making PS5 players play with only PS5 players, for example.

PC System Requirements

Planning to play the game on PC and wasn’t able to try the game during its previous tests? Here are the game’s system requirements to give you a gauge of whether your system can run Arc Raiders.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600

  • Memory: 12 GB RAM

  • DirectX: Version 12

Recommended Specs

  • Memory: 16 GB RAM

From what I experienced on previous tests, the game’s performance was smooth. I even tried playing the game on an RTX 2060, an old graphics card. To my surprise ,I was able to play the game with no problems, giving me the impression that it’s going to be accessible for all kinds of PC setups at launch.

Will Arc Raiders have Asian servers at launch?

Yes. During Server Slam, we experienced pings of less than 100ms, giving us the impression Arc Raiders is ready for Asian players. I played in the Philippines and experienced little to no lag or even lag input, especially during instense moments.

With the game launching with multiple localization support for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, it only further strengthens the idea of Asian servers being available at launch.

What we know is you won’t be able to pick your servers, and thankfully, it wasn’t an issue when I tried to go topside.

Arc Raiders is priced at $40 (P1,838) and is an extraction shooter from The Finals creator Embark Studios. It’s one of the most anticipated games this year, as many extraction shooter enthusiasts are hopeful that this will come out as a step up for the subgenre.

The shooter will not feature mandatory server wipes, but a prestige-like option in the game’s Expedition system will give players the option to do their own wipe if they so choose.
