Arc Raiders 2026 Roadmap Details New Map, Arc Enemies, and Expedition Windows

Embark Studios has released the 2026 roadmap for their third-person extraction shooter Arc Raiders. It’s rather vague, but gives us a good idea of what to expect from the game in the next three months.

Arc Raiders 2026 roadmap highlighting new maps, Arc enemies, and expedition updates

Arc Raiders at the end of January 2026

Embark seems to be ending January with a unique matchmaking option that requires players to be over level 40. We don’t know what that means just yet but being able to queue for this specific lobby will likely grant players access to a unique experience for a higher chance at loot. Maybe add requirements such as a specific gear value with no free loadouts allowed?

Another interesting addition will be a new minor map condition similar to conditions such as increased Raider Cache spawns and such. It won’t drastically change lobbies but new conditions is welcome to keep each map evolving at specific times of the day.

Lastly, we are getting a new Player Project, tasks that will require players to deposit specific items for rewards, similar to the Candleberry event during Christmas, we assume.

Arc Raiders in February 2026

February will be big for the game as not only will it include the game’s second Expedition window, but a new Arc enemy type, a new map condition (seems wind-related), a new Raider Deck, and a map update. The map update is rather interesting, as it suggests the map should be altered in some way. Maybe, let’s say, Buried City has certain rooms closed, or they change the structure of a building due to Arc damage? Updates like this will definitely add more flavor to the game.

Arc Raiders in March 2026

For March 2026, we are getting yet another map condition in rotation, another new Arc enemy type, another player project to pool their resources into, and a Scrappy update. That last one is interesting as the player’s trusty resource gathering chicken will be changed in some way.

Arc Raiders in April 2026

April is going to be the next big month as it not only hosts the next Expedition window but will feature a new map, a new map condition, and a “new large Arc”. This new large enemy type could be bigger or similar to the Queens and Matriarchs now available in the game, but a cool addition to fuel those who love the PVE aspect of Arc Raiders.

All of what was mentioned each month will then be supported with new quests, new feats, Trial objectives, events, new gameplay items, cosmetics, and quality-of-life updates to the game.

Embark has finally shown what to expect from the game in the coming months. They’ve been rather slow when it comes to addressing player concerns since the start of the Winter update. The holiday slowdown is understandable, but momentum is strong as people are loving the game while still seeing issues that need fixing.

The roadmap looks solid for avid players, but staying transparent, or at the very least acknowledging key problems, will go a long way when it comes to player retention.
