Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp delayed to Spring 2022

Nintendo announced that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will no longer be released this December and will instead release sometime in Spring 2022. It was originally planned for a December 3 release.

Simply put, the developers need more time in fine-tuning the game.

For those unfamiliar, Advance Wars 1+2 is a remake of the first two installments in the strategy series Advanced Wars - Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising - which was released on the Game Boy Advance. To be clear, it’s not a remastered but a remake. Developers have rebuilt the first two games from the group up while adding a new graphical design, which you can see in it’s trailer below.

This remake will feature two campaigns that cover the first two games’ stories. For those looking for a competitive spin, Re-Boot Camp will also feature a competitive Versus Mode with a dozen maps and can be played with up to four players.

It’s a rather big delay and all we get is a release window as to when we get to replay this classic on the Nintendo Switch.
