Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Launches October 2
Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is set to launch on October 2, 2026.
Ace Combat 8 will launch with over 30 playable aircraft, featuring a mix of real-world and fictional fighter jets. This roster is categorized into four roles: fighters, attack aircraft, multi-role aircraft, and electronic warfare aircraft, aligning certain planes for specific missions. The A-10C Thunderbolt II, for example, is best suited for air-to-ground engagements as an attack aircraft, while the iconic F-14D Super Tomcat is ideal for long-range anti-air as a fighter jet.
Based on the latest trailer and prior footage, it's the typical Ace Combat affair. Campaign drama, you being the ace pilot that is feared and respected, and arcade gameplay that delivers pure modern aerial combat without being too grounded or intimidating.
Ace Combat Online
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will also ship with Ace Combat Online, the game's multiplayer mode where you can queue up for co-op or competitive missions. Bandai Namco plans to share more details on this mode as the game's release approaches.
Wings of Theve will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
