Alice: Madness Returns Teaser Trailer

A third teaser trailer for Alice: madness Returns has been revealed and gives us a taste on the dark and twisted version of Alice in Wonderland. I personally think its genius. Alice in Wonderland to begin with is messed up. Just think of it as Alice in Wonderland minus Disney's influence.

Alice: Madness Returns is actually a sequel to the 2000 Windows and Mac game called American McGee's Alice and takes place eleven years after the events of the first game. Alice has been released from Rutledge Asylum and into the care of a London psychiatrist. Since she was moved somewhere else, her hallucinations gets worse. So she resorts going back to Wonderland hoping everything will be better. But she then realized that she has changed Wonderland because of her insanity and now must save her old friends and herself from this evil thats overwhelming Wonderland.

Alice: Madness Returns will be released on June 12 2011 on PC. Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

Catherine will be on her way to the US! :D (Update: Trailer)

UPDATE!

Remember when Atlus said they had no plans for Catherine in the US? Well soon after that announcement Atlus sent out emails with a simple question, “Do you still like us”?

At the time the answer was probably no.

But now a new website has just opened up stating that Catherine is on course for a US release sometime in the Summer of this year. The site itself seems pretty bare bones, simply linking to Amazon, Gamestop, and VGP for preorders. Keep your eyes peeled for further site updates.

Panasonic Jungle Gets Cancelled

For anyone who read our posts back when we were in blogspot maybe you caught one of my earlier posts. It was about the Panasonic Jungle which was supposed to address the "MMO on the go market" which I still think isn't large enough (or if there even is one) for a device dedicated to only that to exist.

To be honest, when I first heard about the Jungle, I thought it was already a bogus idea and reading more into it didn't help. This comment from Panasonic just proved my point; "Panasonic decided to suspend further development due to changes in the market and in our own strategic direction,”. They enforced their decision by stating that there are "changes in the market" and "changes in our own strategic direction" which basically means "no one wanted it", "that's bullshit" or "you're crazy, it looks stupid".

I'm actually kind of bummed that it isn't going to be released, I would've loved to see it join the epic failures in video gaming along side the Gizmondo and the Virtual Boy. At least then it would have been a part of video game history.

New Battlefield 3 Gameplay Trailer

This is a longer version of the previously released trailers.

A small group of soldiers land in a wrecked city. You hear them having some light conversation, a short mission briefing and watch em run through the streets. Then the action begins.

I gotta say, from this small piece of footage, the graphics look intense. Movement and the use of motion blur looks really clean. The iron sights look pretty good and so does the combat. But how it plays will be a different story, we'll just have to wait. HUD is kept to a minimum, sporting a sort of digital feel which I have no problems with.

Hopefully more footage will be coming soon, Battlefield 3 is scheduled to hit shelves Fall of this year.
