Hyped about Resident Evil 4

I've had Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition for quite some time now but I haven't really played it past the first house. I've always heard great things about this game and I've wanted to play it since it was a Gamecube exclusive back when it was first released.

I just can't get to playing a game until I really sink my teeth into it. I can get going and play for hours straight if I'm enjoying it but once I stop, at time I find it so difficult to just boot the game again. I'm just weird like that, plus having a day job eat 9 hours of my life 5 days a week doesn't help either.

However, after watching this video, I want to run home right now, boot the game and swear a whole lot while laughing my ass off. If there's anything that can get you hyped about playing a game, its stuff like this. Thank you youtube. And thank you Machinima for getting these two guys to make this series.

Weekend, what are you all playing?

The weekend graces us once more. Time for excessive and uninterrupted grinding, multiplayer fun (online and local), training mode for all you fighters out there. Tell us, what are you playing?

Migoy: Been kind of a slow week for me when it comes to video games but I have indulged myself into some more Dissidia 012 Duodecime: Final Fantasy. Beat  the stories of Tidus and Zidane. Grinded a bit doing some party battles and started Bartz's story. Though the game is for the most part very similar to the first Dissidia, if you've played the first game as much as I have, the differences and tweaks in the new game are enough for you to notice them and change the way you play. It's a great game and encourage you all to try it, especially if you are a Final Fantasy fan. Cross-over stories are mostly bollocks but c'mon, who doesn't want to see Cloud face off against Squall?

Quash:

Finally reached level 30 in DC Universe Online. now the grinding begins getting the best gear possible to be able to join raids and certain alerts. This is where i find out if DC Universe Online is worth the buy. Leveling was actually a blast since mostly everything is voiced and you get to fight alongside your favorite Heroes/Villains. But the real test for any MMO is if the end-game is worth the $15 dollar monthly subscription. So far i did a few duos( an instance that requires only two players) so i can't say for sure yet if end-game content is good. I still have a few weeks left in my free month so we'll see.

Will we be seeing a Wii 2 at this year's E3?

There are rumors going around that Nintendo is working on the Wii's successor. Sporting HD capabilities and "built-in" HD video screen as well as graphics that will surpass the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Publishers are already planning launch titles and the new controller will be tablet of sorts. An iPad with buttons. Of course this is all just speculation and Nintendo is denying any of these statements but expect the formal announcement to be made before or during this year's E3 ( Electronic Entertainment Expo).

Maybe this is the reason why there seems to be no other major Wii game announcement outside of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It's no surprise to me that Nintendo is working on a new platform, what worries me though is that graphical horsepower that rumors claim to be more powerful than the PS3 and 360 are obviously going happen, but maybe it'll be significantly weaker than whatever it is Sony and/or Microsoft will pull out in the future.

Nintendo has surprised us time and time again and for most part of gaming evolution has flagshipped many innovations of how we play video games either in our homes, on the bus, out in the park, or even on the can. I'm sure that they are gonna wow us again.

Revisiting Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (Wii)

I popped back in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows in my Nintendo Wii. The latest open world Spider-Man game by Activision up until they broke the chain with Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. I have beaten this game before and the reason I am revisiting it is to get the bad ending for the game. The last time I played it, I went completely good with the game's simplistic morality system. Another reason why I was compelled to revisit the game is because when I was at my cousins' place the other weekend, we played a bunch of Wii games and one of them was Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Seeing Spider-Man swinging around New York city and remembering how much I actually enjoyed playing the game made me want to relive the experience and the goal to get the bad ending gave me a solid reason to do so.

The game is far from perfect but honestly its no where near as bad as people say it was. Sure the morality system is bland and the frame rate tends to drop at times but the combat is suprisingly enjoyable which is more than I can say for previous open world Spider-Man game, even Spider-Man 2, and swinging through the city is simple yet satisfying. Where else can you power slide down the side of a skyscraper?

Weekend, what are you all playing?

Well the weekend is upon us again and you know what that means. Vidj00 games! What are you playing? Migoy: I got the Lightning badge in Pokemon White so I'm half way to the league now. Sunday is my Special Day in the Dissidia 012 Duodecim: Final Fantasy calendar so the sound of leveling up after almost every battle is as satisfying as ever.

My Nintendo Wii has gotten some love this weekend. Aside from some TvC (Tatsunoko vs. Capccom: Ultimate All-Stars) action, I replayed Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. I've beaten it before but got the good ending so now I'm working to be completely evil and see how things go. The story is still butt and as expected in an open world Spider-Man game, glitches galore but I found myself playing it through the whole afternoon and later again after having supper.

Quash: I played some split screen Call of Duty: Black Ops with some cousins after coming home from the beach and watched one of them get mutilated in Dead Space 1. I played Marvel vs. Capcom 3, before I left I practiced doing the Dr. Doom M&M loop combo for 3 hours to get it perfect.

Arlie: It's Gran Turismo 5 for me this weekend, finally had the patience to download those buttload of patches. I just purchased my Formula Gran Turismo car off the Online Dealership yesterday for 5,000,000 Credits. I'm currently at Level 25 A-Spec and trying to complete the Extreme Series to get the Grand Finale trophy. Hopefully I could grind up to Level 35 A-spec this weekend to unlock the Red Bull X1 Challenge
