Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale gets delayed, but new characters confirmed, Vita port comes free with PS3 version

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale All the new info about PS All-Stars in one post. Originally planned to release at the end of October, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale gets pushed back to November 20. The reason for the delay are the usual - Game polish and balancing. Don't go all bummed out though, a new trailer was just released during Gamescom 2012 confirming new characters joining the roster.

New Characters confirmed:

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Main Event Trailer

Adding Ape Escape's Spike was a great choice for a game like this. Sackboy and Rachet and Clank were no brainers really. DmC's Dante, I still wish it was the old Dante look.

Have a look at the new characters in action. Sony released trailers for each new character similar to how Capcom revealed each new character from Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Sackboy trailer

The leaked information taken from the game's beta seems to be somewhat accurate at this point

Sony also mentioned that purchasing the PS3 version(either retail or download) of the game grants you the Vita version of the game for free. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale will feature cross-platform play allowing PS3 players and Vita players to play with each other. Pretty neat feature. If they implement this to future Sony titles, players will have a good reason to get their own Vita.

Gamescom 2012: Dead Space 3 Gamescom trailer

Dead Space 3 During Gamescom 2012, EA released a new trailer for Dead Space 3 showing that Necromorphs are back and Isaac really can't take a break from the horror. Not too happy with the addition of co-op but this trailer game me a glimpse of hope that they retained the horror we love from this franchise. Check the trailer below.

Along with the trailer, they revealed the game's official release date. You get to stomp on corpses again on February 5, 2013 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Assassin's Creed 3 multiplayer trailer

Assassin's Creed 3 I was never a fan of Assassin's Creed having multiplayer, but if you can't wait to play that side of Assassin's Creed 3, here's a trailer showing the new features. Two game modes were introduced and also mentions a ranking system to compare your skills with other players all over the world.

Assassin's Creed 3 will be out on October 30 on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC version of the game will be out on November 20, a few weeks after the console release.

Sleeping Dogs Launch Trailer

Square Enix just released the launch trailer for Sleeping Dogs, their open-world sandbox game with a Hong Kong-like setting. A lot of action and drama going on this trailer.

This GTA-ish sandbox was developed over at United Front Games with Square Enix as publishers.

Sleeping Dogs will be out on Aug 14, 2012 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Uncharted 3 patch 1.13 is available now, biggest patch ever says Naughty Dog

Naughty Dog announced that patch 1.13 is now live and brings tons of chamges to Uncharted 3's multiplayer. They call this the biggest patch they ever did and they weren't kidding. The patch is loaded with so much goodies that they actually made a detailed video to explain this patch.

Just when you thought the studio was in full force to develop The Last of Us, they surprise the Uncharted community that they still care.

It's a bit of a shock that Naughty Dog and Sony are adding all of this as a patch and not DLC. The new custom parts could have easily been custom packs for $1 or a tournament mode pack for a couple of bucks. Guess I'm used to extra content on a game now always having a price tag. Yes, the new items can be purchase, but they can also be earned by just playing the game. Over 100+ new items, tournament mode and the changes to the gmal was enough for me to pop in my Uncharted 3 copy to update my game to 1.13. The patch is 263MB.

So if you still have your Uncharted 3 copy, now seems like a good time to revisit the game's multiplayer.
