Weekend, what are you playing?

Killzone 3 This week is PS Vita launch week. Did any of you get one? Or just too busy playing that certain game for X number of hours. You know the drill, tell us more!

Quash: This weekend I'm still on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Just like any RPG's, it takes weeks until you can say "Yea, I'm done." I'm level 33 and is now on my 60th hour on the game. It's a great game and still getting flooded with quests. Some are coming out as repetitive but there's always something to do in this game.

I was also able to give some time to play some Killzone 3. Since the announcement of the multiplayer mode hitting the PSN Store, I wanted to see if the servers were still active. After a couple of attempts to enter a game, I can already tell that there isn't much people playing the game anymore. Makes sense since this game is a year old now. I was able to get into a game with full players, but not like before which only took a minute to get into a full game.

Migoy: I'm moving to a different apartment this week so I've been busy doing stuff and since the internet hasn't been moved yet I'm not going to be broadcast for a few weeks. I was able to get a few scrubby matches of Soul Calibur V in when my cousin was here to help us out and we also got to try out the demo for the new SSX game. I gotta say the new SSX looks to be a pretty sweet game.

Oh and they also have a trailer for the event. Not bad at all if you ask me.

Will definitely try to drop by during the weekend. If you live somewhere in Metro Manila, Philippines, don't let you being shy miss an event like this. Win or lose, it always turn out to be fun. You never know, tournament pressure might bring out the best in you.

LABANPAROOZA 2012 is happening this weekend on February 25-26.

Weekend, what are you playing?

meh Happy weekend guys! After almost a solid week of me (Migoy) not being able to play any real video games, this weekend felt like it took forever to arrive. I'm glad that it's finally here and bummed that it's almost over but enough about that, what are you playing?

Migoy: Put in Soul Calibur V to try to get some online matches in but I had a difficult time finding matches so after around 2 fights (against the same guy) I decided to just go into quick match and grind my player level up so that I can unlock Algol. Then my cousin walks in because his class ended early so we fought a few scrubby versus matches. After that, Grand Theft Auto IV got some love from me and spent almost 2 hours on that. Tried out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 free multiplayer thing on steam this weekend and it's ok, it works. Encountered a few hackers in game so yeah.. online on PC is fun.

Quash: Multiple games for this weekend - Some League of Legends there, a bit of Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect 3 demo, oh and some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 free multiplayer thanks to Steam. I think I'm going to head out either today or tom to pre-order Mass Effect 3.

Weekend, what are you playing?

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Already half-way through February, time sure flies when you're having fun. So, video games! What are you playing?

Migoy: Still on my quest to finish Grand Theft Auto IV, amazing game. Booted up a bit of Soul Calibur V and I swear, Soul calibur still has the cheapest AI in any fighting game. You hit a button, the CPU reads your input and instantly punshies with a faster attack and so on. The netcode is still pretty good but I have experienced some trouble finding online ranked matches, maybe I was just looking for matches in the wrong time of day. Popped in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, did a few challenges, fought and lost a few ranked matches, and played a bit of arcade mode.

Quash: All weekend, actually the whole week even, is all about Kindoms of Amalur: Reckoning. it's surprisingly very good and I can definitely see myself spending as much time as I did when I first played Skyrim, and that was around 100+ hours spent. I'm at the 27th hour mark on the game at Level 19 and I still have a lot of content to cover. As I move forward in the game, the gameplay just gets better and better with the number of options you are given to take down your enemies. It's one of the main reasons why I'm hooked. I fight whatever I see and it never gets old.

An Epic Battle Never Seen in Skyrim

Skyrim Draugr

Ever wondered how a battle between 500 Dwarven Soldiers vs 500 Draugr and a few Skeleton Warriors would look like in Skyrim? Well someone wondered about that same thing and created an epic Machinima video called the The Great Battle of Skyrim.

It's like Lord of the Rings all over again. With the Creation Kit for Skyrim out now for PC owners, this is just a taste of what's to come. The creator used various mods and console commands to create this epic battle. Don't be fooled, this is not an easy thing to do, so props to Tyrannicon.
