Call of Duty WWII's first DLC Pack Detailed

Sledgehammer Games has finally revealed details on the first DLC pack that's coming to Call of Duty WWII. It's called The Resistance DLC Pack and it will contain three multiplayer maps, one map for the new War game mode, and the next chapter for the Nazi Zombies campaign.

The two multiplayer maps included in this DLC is themed around the areas where actual resistance fighters were operating to disrupt The Axis forces during their control of Europe. The third map is a remake of a fan favorite.

Here's how Sledgehammer describes each map:

Anthropoid
Based in Prague, Czechoslovakia, this map is inspired by Operation Anthropoid, the famous assassination attempt on a high-ranking German officer during World War II. This map features a center lane divided by a river, with long-flanking paths that can be used by snipers for ranged attacks.

Occupation
In this remake of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer map Resistance, players battle through the streets and shops of German-occupied Paris during WWII. Long side streets encourage mid-range combat, with nearby homes and storefronts lending defensive positions for ambush and recovery.

Valkyrie
Located in the Masurian Woods, East Prussia, this map was inspired by The Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s Eastern-front headquarters during Operation Barbarossa, the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. This is a medium-sized map with gameplay focused around a dangerous center lane covered by multiple overwatch positions and mounted machine guns.

The new game mode called War is heavily objective-based. Each map is huge and provides various objectives to the offensive and defensive teams. It's a great addition to the game and The Resistance DLC pack adds one more map into the rotation and it's called Operation Intercept. with new objectives such as saving resistance fighters from capture to stopping/defending a train. The base game currently has only three maps for War.

Zombies will get another map continuing the crazy story that started with the first map. It's called Darkest Shore and not only will it be filled with secrets for you and your friends to uncover, there are adding another zombie type to change things up.

We loved what Sledgehammer has done with Call of Duty WWII, but with it having the smallest number of maps on release compared to other Call of Duty titles, the map rotation wearing thin for some players is a big possibility, so it's good to know that post content is coming sooner rather than later.

The Resistance is included in Call of Duty WWII's season pass and will be available to purchase separately. No price was given but expect an announcement for it soon because it will be coming to PS4 on January 30. Sadly, PC and Xbox players will have to patiently wait a month after its release on the PS4 to get their hands on the DLC.
