Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale adds another Cole into the mix

Sony just announced another character joining Playstation All-Star battle Royale roster, and that character is the evil version of Sucker Punch's Cole MacGrath. I'm not a fan of putting a different version of the same character, but at least Evil Cole does play differently. Check out his trailer below.

Evil Cole harnesses the powers of both electrokinesis and pyrokinesis in battle, offering a style more ruthless in nature than his moral counterpart, Cole MacGrath. When you pick up the controller, you’ll immediately notice the differences between their fighting styles.

So far, I'm not all that excited with the roster. I want a more classic line-up like Spyro The Dragon, or Crash Bandicoot. Right now it's all the recent Sony characters. Ape Escape's Spike was a great choice, so hopefully we see more character reveals like that in the future. The game is a few months away though so hopefully they saved the best for last.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released on November 20, 2012 for Playstation 3.

Street Fighter X Tekken Vita Cole MacGrath gameplay

Cole Macrgrath in Street Fighter X Tekken PS Vita Don't forget, Street Fighter X Tekken is actually also headed to the PS Vita with an exclusive character Cole McGrath from inFAMOUS. Game looks good for a portable version and Cole seems to be a sick character to play, but the speed of the game seem slower compared to its console brother.

The game is still in the works so it's too early to judge. Their working with new tech and it's a portable device, it's forgivable for now. Hopefully we'll see a better build of the game in the next few months. Not only is Capcom working on a Street Fighter X Tekken port, they're also developing Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for the Vita too, which their trying to release together with the Vita release this december in Japan. So yea, Capcom got their hands full.

InFamous 2 User-Generated Content Beta

Sucker Punch has unleashed the beta test details for its user-generated content component in inFamous 2.  You have from now until March 21 to sign up for the beta here. Of course they won’t be accepting everyone so do yourself a favor and jump on this ASAP. The people chosen will be notified in ”early April” by the development studio.

You’ll also have to register for the site and all that hoopla which is understandable I suppose, and I’m sure you can’t wait to read the sweaty love letters you get sent.

As an additional bonus Sucker Punch will be choosing the best user-generated content and providing them with the game as ”Sucker Punch Selections” when the game is released. So not only can you get into the beta, you have the chance of having your handywork spread far and wide. I wouldn’t expect a revenue check though…always read the fine print.
