Sony PlayStation announced that they are no longer pushing through with implementing the requirement of linking a PSN account to your Steam account in order to play 4-player co-op shooter Helldivers 2. This was due to major backlash from the Helldivers community when it was announced back in May 3, 2024.

The Helldivers 2 controversy has gone from bad to worse within days as the 4-player co-op shooter can no longer be purchased on Steam in countries that do not have PlayStation Network support (PSN). I checked if I can purchase the game here in the Philippines and true enough, the option to purchase the game wasn’t available.

Ubisoft has announced that their free-to-play online first-person shooter XDefiant is launching on May 21, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game starts with a preseason that will last for 6 weeks.

Those subscribed to PlayStation Plus will be displeased to know that one of PlayStation’s best first-party titles, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, is leaving the subscription service on May 21, 2024. 

Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia unveils a new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the long-awaited sequel to the iconic Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series. This trailer focuses on masters and apprentices duking it out as they feature various arcs in the Dragon Ball series.

Bethesda has detailed a major update coming to their epic RPG Starfield, which includes improved surface maps, better inventory navigations, a higher difficulty, and 60 FPS options for Xbox Series X players, just to name a few. The update is set to launch on PC and consoles on May 15.

Capcom has revealed that Akuma, the final DLC character for Street Fighter 6’s Year 1, is set to release on May 22, 2024 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). They also shared details on the character’s move set as well as three significant updates that will launch alongside Akuma.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new trailer for Tekken 8 showing off the contents of the game’s first season, showcasing upcoming free features such as Photo Mode, a new chapter in the game’s main story, Online Practice mode, Ghost vs Ghost, and revealing second DLC character - Lidia.

The upcoming action adventure Stellar Blade comes out on April 26 and before launch it was updated with a new game plus patch, allowing players to carry over most of their progress and unlocks to a new playthrough, playing the game from the very beginning.
