Blizzard announced that their free-to-play action RPG Diablo Immortal will be receiving a major update on December 14 called Terror’s Tide. Players will get to explore a new zone called Stormpoint, five new Legendary Gems, and more.

Sega announced that the latest Sonic title Sonic Frontiers reached over 2.5 million copies sold since it was released last month on November 8. This is the first Sonic game with an open world approach and was available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Sega revealed that the upcoming game Like a Dragon: Ishin!, will feature new Sub-Stories, new mini-games, a Photo mode, and a mode called Another Life.

One of the announcements from the 2022 Game Awards is that the PS5 console exclusive Returnal is coming to PC in early 2023. It also seems like the PC version will not have any form of cross-play with PS5 users as the game now features co-op with one other player. 

The fact that the developers implemented so many quality of life changes while simultaneously maintaining the game’s charms with such finesse makes Tactics Ogre Reborn stand tall and easily become one of the biggest surprises this year, as I didn’t think I would have so much fun with a strategy RPG released over 25 years ago.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s rough quality is unacceptable. I hope that Game Freak and Nintendo will work quickly to patch the performance after all this ruckus, but even if it somehow ends up running smoothly enough to not be headache-inducing, I doubt I will ever revisit this game.
