The Call of Duty Vanguard beta went live last weekend and I gave this year’s entry a spin. Another year of playing Call of Duty the Call of Duty way. Another round of changes here and there that sadly doesn’t trigger any sense of excitement or thrill as we get closer to its November release.

After playing over 15 hours and thinking about it further once the open beta closed, I see New World’s potential to be the next big thing in the MMORPG genre, but I think it would be best to avoid New World for now.

Iron Banner Studios’ Chivalry 2 opened the floodgates last weekend with their open beta event going live with crossplay enabled, allowing players to play the 64-player medieval online game focused on melee combat on different platforms. People Can Fly’s Outriders has been out for exactly a week now and I've spent an unhealthy amount of time on the latest looter shooter and loving most of what it has to offer. I finished the campaign and while I'm still on the journey to reaching the last portion of it’s endgame content, I'm feeling discouraged, as I feel like I'm slamming my head against the wall every hour.

At a glance, Genshin Impact may appear to be nothing more than a clone of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But the game does so much more so differently that it can stand on its own. More importantly, it raises the bar for what you can now expect from a free-to-play title.
