After putting it off for a little over 2 years, I finally got to sit down and take a proper look at Mega Man 11. Mega Man 9 and 10 brought the 8-bit classic style back to the series. And while they were amazing games, I was still looking for that modern 2.5-D transition that I expected the series to naturally evolve into.

On the surface, Starlink: Battle for Atlas looks like nothing more than a spaceship shooter with a toys-to-life gimmick slapped on to it. With the Nintendo Switch version taking the extra step by having what most people expected to be a shallow inclusion of the Star Fox crew. While there is a bit of truth to all that, I wouldn't recommend dismissing the game outright as it offers so much more than what was made out to be.

The battle royale genre has made its mark in gaming as a mainstay in the current and foreseeable generation. With Tetris 99, Nintendo has proven that the battle royale concept isn't limited to shooters. And as part of the Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary, Nintendo has released another unique take to the genre with Super Mario Bros. 35.

As a person who barely had any experience in the MMO genre and with Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn having been reworked to help slingshot players over to the newer content, just how approachable is the game to newcomers?

Overrated or not, you can't ignore the impact that the original Final Fantasy VII left in gaming history.
