Rocket League will be entering Season 10 this week on March 10, 2023, and the new car featured in the next season pass is the Volkswagen Golf II GTI. The game will also e updated with an average wait time counter.

Developer Psyonix just announced that Rocket League will be free-to-play on all platforms , and it will still feature cross-platform play. Players that played the game before July 21, 2020 will get a few bonuses once it converts to free-to-play.

Design director Corey Davis said in a blog post that much of the game's success in 2017 was thanks to the growth of esports and some tremendous sales success on the Nintendo Switch.
