Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios announced that their zombie game Dead Island 2 will be getting its first major story DLC called Haus on November 2. This DLC is parted of the Expansion Pass, which promises the game’s first two expansions.

Volition Games, the studio that launched the Saints Row reboot last year, announced that they are shutting down, effective immediately.

The long-awaited sequel Dead Island 2 is off to a good start as publisher Deep Silver has announced that the zombie slayer action RPG has surpassed 1 million sales copies within three days since it officially launched last week on April 21.

Dead Island 2 failed to stand out as the original game did since there are now a good amount of zombie-themed titles that are more than capable of scratching this particular itch. It feels so late in the game that other games like it have evolved and experimented with different concepts while this series is still trying to get back on its feet.

Deep Silver and Volition unveiled the 2023 post-launch road map for the Saints Row reboot that launched last year. The road map details what to expect from Expansion Pass holders, and free content releases in the form of new districts and other quality-of-life updates. 

Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios revealed a 15-minute gameplay trailer of Dead Island 2 showcasing the game’s many ways to handle the zombie threat while giving us a good look at the game’s FLESH system, designed to elevate the visual damage one can do to any of the zombies found in the game. 

Developer Dambuster Studios and Publisher Deep Silver announced that Dead Island 2 will be releasing a week earlier as the new release date is now April 21, 2023, from April 28. Together with the date change, they announced that the game has finally gone gold.

Developer Dambuster Studio released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming open world game Dead Island 2. The video highlights its Los Angeles setting, the many weapons you can wield to do some zombie slaying, and apparently will feature Alexa Game Controls.

The long-awaited open world zombie game Dead Island 2 has received another delay as it’s now set to launch on April 28, 2023. It was originally set to launch on February 3. A new gameplay trailer for the game is set to debut early December.

After eight years since Dead Island 2 was announced, it was reintroduced once again during Gamescom Opening Night 2022 and is releasing February 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC through the Epic Games Store.

The new Saints Row is Volition's way of saying that the series is back and that they have not forgotten why they’ve been able to release four mainline titles with this amount of silliness in the past. The essence of the Saints Row series is intact, just slightly altered to fit modern tastes. It’s just unfortunate to not see drastic changes to the game’s core systems like combat, which could have propelled the series to new heights.
