Resident Evil Requiem Hits 5 Million Units Sold in 5 Days

Capcom announced that Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth mainline entry in the long-running Resident Evil series, has become the franchise’s fastest-selling title in its first week.

For context, Resident Evil 4 Remake hit 3 million in its first two days, while Resident Evil Village reached 3 million in its first week.

This milestone is impressive for the series, and both players and critics are praising the game for blending the franchise’s best horror elements with action-packed gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4. Our editor was also impressed with how the game is running on the Nintendo Switch 2.

At this rate, Requiem could be one of the franchise’s top selling title in history overall.
