Redfall Is Arkane's New Open-world Co-op FPS Coming To Xbox Next Year

Microsoft ended their Xbox digital games showcase in E3 2021 with the reveal of Redfall, a new open-world co-op FPS game from developers Arkane Austin (Dishonored, Prey) and it’s filled with unique characters and a lot of powerful looking vampires.

Redfall is set to come out Summer 2022 and will be available to Xbox and PC. It will also be available for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers on day one.

There’s no gameplay footage available at the moment but what we do know is it will feature co-op of up to four players where you can either go alone or with friends and choose the preferred loadout to kill hoards of vampires. Bethesda’s official website, gives more detail, setting the stage of what to expect from Redfall.

The quaint island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors against diabolical enemies threatening to bleed the town dry, choose your hero from a diverse roster, grouping up with others to create the perfect team of vampire slayers.

I’m all for companies ending their games showcase presentations with an entirely new IP, and Redfall is definitely a game to keep tabs on as we learn more about it in the future.

Redfall will be exclusive to Xbox Series X|S and PC and will launch sometime Summer 2022.
