Last Chance to Play: PS Plus Games Leaving in May 2025
/Sony’s PlayStation Plus service offers a wide selection of games for subscribers on the higher Extra and Premium tiers. While the Game and Classic Catalogs are updated monthly, not every title sticks around forever. It’s expected that some games will rotate out, depending on licensing agreements and decisions made between PlayStation and publishers.
So it’s no surprise that a new batch of games is set to leave the service in May 2025.

When Are These Games Leaving PS Plus?
If you check the Last Chance to Play section in the PlayStation Plus hub, there’s no specific removal date listed for each game. Based on past patterns, our best guess is that these titles will leave around mid-May, once the new monthly lineup gets added to the service.
We’ll update this post if Sony confirms an exact removal date or adds more titles to the list of departures.
For now, scan the list above—there might be a game you’ve been meaning to try, and time is running out.
April’s PS Plus Catalog Update Was Lighter Than Usual
The April 2025 update for the Game and Classic Catalogs was a bit slim compared to previous months. Typically, we see 10+ games added, but last month stood out more for its big-name additions: Hogwarts Legacy joined the lineup, alongside two day-one titles—Blue Prince and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows greatly blends the classic Assassin’s Creed stealth with the RPG elements of recent entries. Its dynamic world, seasonal changes, and improved stealth mechanics make exploration a joy, but Yasuke’s restrictive gameplay, overall story, and a half-baked notoriety system hold it back.
