Pokémon Winds & Pokémon Waves Announced for Switch 2
Nintendo and developer Game Freak have revealed the next mainline entry in the Pokémon series: Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves. The new titles will introduce the franchise’s 10th generation of Pokémon when they release in 2027 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.
The teaser gives us an early look at a region made up of different islands, along with what appears to be underwater exploration. However, the main highlight is the reveal of the Gen 10 starters:
Browt (Grass-type starter)
Pombon (Fire-type starter)
Gecqua (Water-type starter)
Aside from the starters, the teaser did not officially introduce any other new Gen 10 Pokémon.
Beyond this, very little has been shared about the games so far. With a 2027 release window, this creates a five-year gap between Gen 9 and Gen 10, making it the longest gap between Pokémon generations to date.

Code Vein 2 delivers serviceable soulslike combat and flexible builds, but its bloated systems, uninspired open world, and inconsistent performance keep it from standing out in an already crowded genre. It definitely has ambition, but many of its ideas feel more like background noise than meaningful twists, leaving the sequel competent but ultimately forgettable.
