What’s the Difference Between Monthly Games and the Game Catalog?
It can still be confusing, so here’s the breakdown:
Monthly Games are available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers (Essential, Extra, and Premium). Once you claim them, they’re yours to keep in your library for as long as you remain subscribed — there’s no expiration date.
The Game Catalog (and Classic Catalog) is only available to Extra and Premium subscribers. These libraries offer a rotating selection of games, which can be played while they’re available. However, unlike Monthly Games, titles in the catalog can leave the service, meaning you lose access even if you’re still subscribed.
If you haven’t already, there’s still time to claim June 2025’s Monthly Games. NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will remain available to claim for your acount until June 30, so be sure to add them to your library before they’re gone.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach delivers higher visual fidelity, consistent performance across the board, and a few new tricks that make gameplay more accessible, challenging, and fun. If you have the patience and come in with an open mind, you’ll be in an exclusive group of people who will struggle to describe this experience to anyone else.
