Life is Strange: Reunion Announced, Max and Chloe Return on March 26

Developer Deck Nine Games and Square Enix have announced Life is Strange: Reunion, the next entry in the Life is Strange series. The game once again stars Max Caulfield as she faces another looming tragedy, using her Rewind time abilities to protect the campus where she now works.

The biggest draw here is the return of Chloe Price from the original game. This also marks the first time Chloe becomes a fully playable character alongside Max, making this reunion lean more towards fans of the original game.

This will be the third game where Max Caulfield takes the lead, and Reunion is being positioned as the entry that finally completes her story. Bringing Chloe back into the mix is an easy way to pull in fans of the original game, while those who stuck with Double Exposure will likely be curious to see how its ending connects to this new chapter.

That said, Life is Strange: Double Exposure didn’t land for me. Its storytelling choices and detached conclusion felt more frustrating than satisfying. Now, with Reunion leaning hard on nostalgia and familiar faces, it doesn’t feel like the series has much left to explore beyond what it’s already done.
