Insomniac Games Suggests You Download the Launch Day Patch for Spider-Man 2
Insomniac Games suggests players eager to play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on day one with a physical copy of the game download the launch patch as it comes with “noticeable enhancements”.
For those who purchased a digital copy of the game and have pre-loaded, the patch is automatically applied to their game and no other action is needed, says Insomniac.
“This update features polish to the gold master version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 available on disc, which improves the opening sections of the game and includes other general refinements to your Spidey experience, including some additional Accessibility Options.”
If you, let’s say, have internet issues at launch don’t worry, Spider-Man 2 is entirely playable from start to finish with the contents found in the game disc.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch this Friday, October 20 on the PlayStation 5. The embargo for reviews of the game has lifted and Insomniac Games’ latest title has been given mostly praise and is already considered the studio’s highest-rated game as Spider-Man 2 holds an OpenCritic score of 91 and a Metacritic score of 91.
I gave Spider-Man 2 a 4/5 as I consider it “Insomniac’s Spider-Man series is on track to becoming the best superhero video game series, alongside greats like the Batman Arkham titles.”
Code Vein 2 delivers serviceable soulslike combat and flexible builds, but its bloated systems, uninspired open world, and inconsistent performance keep it from standing out in an already crowded genre. It definitely has ambition, but many of its ideas feel more like background noise than meaningful twists, leaving the sequel competent but ultimately forgettable.
