Ghostwire: Tokyo Delayed To Early 2022

If you were looking forward to developer Tango Gameworks (Evil Within) upcoming game Ghostwire: Tokyo you’ll have to way a bit longer as the supernatural horror FPS game has been delayed to early 2022.

The team working on Ghostwire: Tokyo went to Twitter to announced the delay as it seems that the development of the game has been affected due to the ongoing pandemic. Japan recently declared a state of emergency due to a sudden increase of COVID-19 cases.

“At the same time, we’re also focused on protecting the health of everyone at Tango. Our new release window will give us time to bring the world of Ghostwire to life as we’ve always envisioned it.” says the developers in their announcement.

Health and the wellbeing of their staff always comes first, especially during an ongoing pandemic that has affected everyone around the globe.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is coming to PC and is a timed console exclusive for the PS5 despite it now being part of the Xbox banner due to Microsoft acquiring parent company ZeniMax Media, who owns Bethesda and all it’s intellectual properties.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is set in modern Tokyo with most of it’s citizens suddenly vanishing, leaving nothing but their clothes. It is said that the protagonist that the players will play as will develop supernatural abilities to fend off spirits that have invaded the world.
