Relic Entertainment and Sega has finally giving real-time strategy fans something to look forward to by revealing Company of Heroes 3 for the PC and is planned for release sometime in 2022. Players eager to try out the game can join the Pre-Alpha Preview to provide feedback through Steam.

How to access the Company of Heroes 3 Pre-Apha Preview

First things first, you need to visit the Company of Heroes website and click ‘Play Now’.

Create a Relic account to be part of the CoH-Development program, which requires you to click the confirmation link sent to your designated email when creating your account. Once that’s all set, log into your Relic account and link your Steam profile by visiting the Rewards page. If all is done correctly, visit your Steam library and you should see the Company of Heroes 3- Pre-Alpha Preview available for download.

According to a press release sent by Relic Entertainment and Sega, Company of Heroes 3 is “bringing the series' intimate boots-on-the-ground storytelling to a brand-new theatre of war, unlocking authentic new tactics, factions, and a wealth of untold stories from World War II.”

”In Company of Heroes 3, the critically acclaimed Company of Heroes gameplay has been enhanced with authentic new features, making for the deepest tactical experience to date – all powered by the Essence Engine 5, the latest evolution of Relic's proprietary real-time strategy technology. On the
Dynamic Campaign Map, players command ground, air and naval forces and build supply lines as they lead the Allies' campaign to retake mainland Italy from the entrenched Axis forces. The long-term choices you make here will affect not only the battles you fight, but the story of the war itself.”

Player choice will be a factor in Company of Heroes 3 as the outcome of your battles in the war will affect the ongoing story of your campaign. Single player modes will feature a Full Tactical Pause, giving players the option to freeze gameplay, giving you ample time to assess the battlefield and make sound decisions before resuming the game.

There’s also a gameplay trailer released together with the announcement, but it’s more of a tease of how the game will look visually rather than how it plays.
