New Gameplay Revealed for Cronos: The New Dawn by Bloober Team
/Developer Bloober Team, currently known for their work on the Silent Hill 2 remake, is branching out with a new IP called Cronos: The New Dawn—a survival horror game that feels like a mix of Silent Hill and Dead Space.
Check out the trailer below.
You play as the Traveler, tasked with saving key individuals from the past (1980s Poland) in order to prevent a bleak future—a post-apocalyptic wasteland overrun by creatures called the Orphans. These tentacle-like monsters come in all shapes and sizes.
What makes them especially deadly is their ability to merge with other dead enemies to form even stronger creatures. Players will need to stop the merge by killing a living Orphan before it happens or by burning any nearby bodies.
The trailer also showcases mind-bending locations and ruined rural areas that appear to have been converted into homes for the Orphans. We also catch glimpses of space segments and the Traveler wielding a variety of weapons, including a shotgun and a pistol.
Cronos: The New Dawn is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometime in 2025.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach delivers higher visual fidelity, consistent performance across the board, and a few new tricks that make gameplay more accessible, challenging, and fun. If you have the patience and come in with an open mind, you’ll be in an exclusive group of people who will struggle to describe this experience to anyone else.
