Recent Buys: Episode 25 - Absence of Injustice Arrow: Komplete Edition

arrow dudeI haven't done one of these in a while mainly due to personal financials but here we have another episode of Recent Buys. Grabbed myself 2nd hand copies of Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition and Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, both for PS3. Thanks to South Rage Manila for hooking me up with those games. I also mention what game has currently been eating up a lot of my time and that is Super Robot Wars Z2 Hakai-hen (Dai-2-Ji Super Robot Taisen z Hakai-hen) on the PSP.

When I recorded this, I just received my DLC code for the Arrow skin in Injustice: Gods Among Us from the show Arrow. The costume looks cool but I'm a little disappointed that Stephen Amell's voice is only used for the entrance, win and clash quotes while all the grunts are still generic Green Arrow voice clips.

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus officially announced by Insomniac Games

Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus logoInsomniac Games has finally revealed a new Ratchet and Clank game that's coming later this year for the PlayStation 3. Do we want another Ratchet & Clank game? Not too sure, but them going back to the game's original formula plus a reduced prices doesn't sound too bad.

With a new Ratchet & Clank game, comes new weapons and abilities. Weapons and gadgets include the Winterizer, Nightmare Box, Repulsor, Vortex Grenade, Grav Tether, Fusion Grenade and Nether Blades. Clank will get new abilities allowing him to alter gravity and manipulate objects to help solve puzzles in the game.

An announcement trailer was also released together with the reveal. Check the trailer below, because I'm not sure if it's just me but I think I saw some Portal 2 gameplay concepts in there.

But I think the best part of this reveal is that the new platformer will start at a generous price of $30, IGN reports. Kind of makes sense since I have a feeling this will land during the holidays, which means it will be in the middle of the next-gen console war.

Based on a Steam email, Steam Summer Sale goes live tomorrow

steam sale is coming Have a few bucks saved up? Hid your wallets then, because Steam's Summer sale is coming. It's not official just yet, but new information suggests that the sale will happen tomorrow, July 11.

An email was posted on Steam reddit showing Steam customer service might have either teased the date of the sale or accidentally mention the date.

Well, I doubt he made a mistake since he placed a smiley after.

For those who don't know...

Every year Steam starts a big summer sale that brings great titles down to really low prices. We are talking about prices all the way down to 75% off, with different deals every day. Last year, they even included flash deals that only last around 8 hours each time. Even a community deal was introduced allowing customers to vote among the three titles that get to go on a big discount for a few hours.

So... it could be coming tomorrow. Damn, I'm not sure I'm ready to spend all that money on games I'll never play, are you?

Finally, a Grand Theft Auto V gameplay trailer

GTA-5 Since the reveal of Grand Theft Auto V, we've haven't seen any kind of gameplay. We were given the look of the new city, the things we can do, the character's we'll meet and play as. Now, the circle is complete. Feast your eyes on the first gameplay trailer for GTA V.

When they revealed that GTA V had three protagonist and can be switch at anytime, I didn't think it would be used in this manner. Switching from character to character during intense moments is pretty interesting since you get to be involved in the most exciting parts of the mission.

Everything else shown? Like, the things you can do in your free time? Well, we're quite familiar with that thanks to past GTA games.

Multiplayer was also teased at the end of the trailer showing that there are have a lot to show. Looks like it's going to be chaotic for sure.

Grand Theft Auto V will be released worldwide September 17 on PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

E3 2013 - Dragon's Crown trailer

dragons-crown-logo-600x300-ss01 With E3 being the big event filled with new games to take in, you will find yourself missing out on a few of them. One in particular, after looking back at this year's E3, is a game called Dragon's Crown for the PlayStation 3 and Vita. After seeing a few interviews, and of course the trailer that was released for E3, I now have this urge to get a new PS3 or even get a Vita just for this game. Have a look at the trailer below.

Dungeons and Dragon's arcade game? Anyone? Back in the day, when arcades were everywhere, games like these emptied my pockets. Remember the X-men arcade beat em up?  Dragon's Crown looks to bring back those types of games and I can't wait to get my hands on this, invite a couple of friends over, and just go all out.

Atlus, thank you for this.

Dragon's Crown will be available August 6 for PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
