NetherRealm Studios(Mortal Kombat) just released the first TV Spot for their latest fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. It's a hilarious bit featuring Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, or Jay and Silent Bob for some, debating which DC super hero would win in a fight.
Aquaman, we love you deep inside. Injustice Gods Among Us comes out on April 16 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U.
A new trailer was released by Capcom for their latest IP coming this June. The trailer introduces the enemies that the player will go against as Nilin, a memory hunter who ironically lost her memory. Check out the trailer below.
The combat in Remember Me has nothing special from what's shown so far. it's the typical beat em up games, and I'm just hoping it has some crazy combinations to break any repetitive feeling. But combat is not what caught my interest. It's more about the game's futuristic setting, with memory now compromised, easily manipulated, stored, or stolen by people like memory hunters. It's a cool concept and hopefully Capcom does a good at executing a concept like this in Remember Me.
Oh, and another thing - I hate dubstep.....that is all.
Remember Me will be out June 4, 2013 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
With Disney now owning everything Star Wars when aquiring LucasArts and LucasFilm for Billions of dollars, the third person shooter Star Wars 1313 has his development halted when Disney announced the closing of LucasArts. An end of an era, and a missed opportunity with 1313.
Kotaku was informed from a source this afternoon that the chances of Lucas licensing out 1313 are very slim. The odds are "effectively zero," the source said.
“After evaluating our position in the games market, we’ve decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company’s risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games," LucasArts parent company LucasFilm said in a statement. "As a result of this change, we’ve had layoffs across the organization. We are incredibly appreciative and proud of the talented teams who have been developing our new titles.”
With the studio no more, Star Wars 1313 is pretty much officially cancelled. The third-person shooter that mad its debut in last year's E3 wowed many including myself seeing the Star Wars license in a different light. I loved the idea of having a third-person shooter in the Star Wars universe, but I guess that concept will be forever buried.
Want to see what could have been? Check out the sweet demo shown last E3 below.
If there's one game that would make PlayStation Plus worth every penny, that is Demon Souls. An RPG that brought something fresh to the genre while making us cry from the countless deaths trying to progress. If you have PS Plus and haven't tried Demon Souls, I highly urge you start downloading and start the pain. You will love and hate it I assure you.
From Software's latest series is a good breather for people looking for something different. If you want a challenge with interesting combat mechanics, go for Demon Souls then try out its sequel Dark Souls for more punishment.
If Demon Souls is really not what you're looking for, Sony still has more to offer this April. Subscribers can look forward to downloading Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, Malicious, Labyrinth Legends, and Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov's Revenge during this month.
Thief, or once called Thief 4, has it's planned announcement trailer leaked a day earlier. You really can't keep anything under wraps for too long with the internet on the case, so we get to see the first cinematic trailer for Thief a bit earlier than expected. Have a look quick! Before Square Enix does anything to the video.
Thief is an official reboot of the Thief franchise, it's a next-gen title and is being developed over at Eidos Montreal(Deus Ex: Human Revolution). Garret and his bow returns in 2014 on PC, PlayStation 4, and "other next-gen consoles", which pretty means the Xbox 360 successor that Microsoft hasn't revealed yet.
