This week will see a massive update that will most certainly reignite excitement for this unique squid kid shooter. New maps, an increased level cap, more hairstyles, more music and over a hundred new pieces of gear.

8bitdo released a series of bluetooth gamepad controllers that look and feel like the old SNES and SuperFamiCom controllers from back in the day. From the flat finish gray body, to the rubbery shoulder buttons. A sense of nostalgia is immediately present the moment you grab these controllers.

New Nintendo 2DS XL,  the 3DS XL price drop in disguise. 

In a nod to the very first Legend of Zelda, Nintendo ended up ditching the more linear, dungeon-focused formula of its previous 3D Zelda entries to prioritize a more Western “go anywhere, do anything” philosophy, which could easily have resulted in a Twilight Princess situation of too much empty space, but instead, through some miracle of game design, this radical change birthed one of the most high-quality virtual worlds I've ever experienced.

when the Gameboy Advance entry, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, came out in 2001, it was totally overshadowed by Super Smash Bros. Melee. But I still played it, and I'm glad I did, because it somehow was able to pack the Mario Kart experience into the tiny color handheld without ruining what made it special.

The Mario Kart series and I go way back. Like many kids in the early '90s, I began my gaming career with a Sega Genesis. And because I was easily indoctrinated by advertising, I firmly believed that “Sega didn't what Nintendidn't”.
