Sony announced the games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog this August 2022. PS Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe subscribers will have access to games such as Dead by Daylight, Bugsnax,Metro Exodux, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on August 16.

In celebration of SEGA's 60th anniversary, SEGA will be releasing Streets of Kamurocho, a beat 'em up inspired by Streets of Rage 2. Featuring Kiryu and Majima from the popular Yakuza series.

The controversy’s effect was two-fold: negative publicity creating genuine interest in the game, and fans wanting to snag copies before Taki’s voice and likeness were fully replaced in subsequent editions of the game.
