Cloud Imperium Games will be hosting a special event for Star Citizen called the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, an in-game event open to all players that allows them to try out the many ships available in the many manufacturers currently available in a game. But this event also allows players to play the current state of Star Citizen for free.

The eagerly anticipated Xbox exclusive was in development at PlatinumGames before it was cancelled in 2017, much to the disappointment of Xbox fans. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said the cancellation was ultimately, “better for Xbox gamers.”

After raising over $240 million to cover a space combat MMO and a star-studded single-player campaign, reports are that development is plagued by micromanagement and reckless spending, among other problems.
