Capcom confirms Monster Hunter Wilds’ first major expansion and details the 1.041 anniversary update, including returning festivals, 10-Star quests, and a Monster Hunter Stories 3 collaboration.

Capcom has refreshed the Monster Hunter Wilds event quest lineup, bringing new limited-time hunts with exclusive rewards. From challenging Guardian encounters to valuable Artian materials, there’s plenty to tackle in the coming weeks. Here’s a full breakdown of the event quests running from late March into mid-April 2025.

Capcom has revealed all that you can expect from Monster Hunter Wilds first Free Title Update. Title Update 1 will launch on April 3 PDT/April 4 BST, with the addition of the monster Mizutsuse, the ability to fight Zoh Shia beyond the campaign, a gathering hub for players, Arena quests, our first Arch-Tempered Monster, and more.

Capcom released Monster Hunter Wilds launch trailer which features Jin Dahaad, the Apex Predator found in the Iceshard Cliffs location in the game. They also gave the game’s post-launch roadmap, giving players an idea what to expect from the game in the coming months after release.

Capcom starts 2025 with the announcement of Monster Hunter Wilds' second beta test, which will go live at set times during two separate weekends this February. It features the same content of the first open beta, plus the quest to hunt a Gypceros.

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Wilds will have an Open Beta at the beginning of November with PlayStation Plus members getting first dibs as they get early access at the end of October. The beta will feature the game’s character creation and two hunt quests. Participating in the beta will reward players with cosmetic items that will be available to them in the full game.

In PlayStation’s State of Play which debuted on September 25, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A new gameplay trailer was shown featuring new locations, monsters, and story bits of the game.

During Gamescom 2024’s Opening Game Night Live event, Capcom revealed a new gameplay trailer that showcases new characters, a new locale called the Scarlet Forest, and a new massive monster Lala Barina.

Capcom is slowly rolling out new details for their upcoming action RPG Monster Hunter Wilds by dropping quick videos describing the game’s new combat mechanics and featuring the new features of each weapon type available. This is in preparation for their big showing of the game in the public at Gamescom 2024.

An insider that goes by the name ‘Dusk Golem’, who has a good track record of reporting accurate information about certain projects, is claiming that Capcom is planning to release Monster Hunter Wilds in the first quarter of 2025.
